Welcome to English Accent Coach. By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using English Accent Coach, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

English Accent Coach is a mobile application that provides AI-powered pronunciation training for non-native English speakers. The app offers personalized curricula based on your native language, real-time pronunciation feedback, and progress tracking.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Trial

We offer a 7-day free trial for new users. The trial provides full access to all premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin.

Subscription Terms

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). Payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated systems to access the app
  • Interfere with the app's operation or servers
  • Upload malicious content or code

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of English Accent Coach, including but not limited to text, audio, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Voice Recordings and Privacy

All voice recordings are processed entirely on your device using on-device AI. We do not store, upload, or transmit your voice recordings to any server. Recordings are analyzed locally and immediately discarded after providing feedback. Your voice data never leaves your phone, ensuring complete privacy of your speech practice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless English Accent Coach and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
